Does Facial Balancing Hurt?

Facial balancing is an extremely tolerable procedure. Your skin will be numbed with a topical numbing cream before treatment, and we also inject the treatment areas with a small amount of lidocaine for maximum comfort.

Will I Be Bruised and/or Swollen?

As with all facial fillers, facial balancing with filler will cause minor to moderate swelling and bruising at the treatment sites. However, it is significantly less swelling and bruising than more invasive surgical options.

Swelling will peak by day 3 post-treatment, and will gradually work itself out of your system within 1-2 weeks. Any bruising should fade within 1-2 weeks and is easily concealed with makeup. Is there anything I shouldn’t do after my appointment?

You should avoid touching or rubbing the face for the first three days post-treatment. You must also avoid rigorous exercise and hot saunas for the first 24 hours, and we highly recommend sleeping on your back for the first couple days to allow the filler to fully settle.

How Long Do Results Last?

Facial balancing results typically last anywhere from 12-14 months, depending on how quickly your body metabolizes dermal filler.

The cost of facial balancing will vary from person-to-person, as each client’s needs are unique. Some patients may require a single syringe of dermal filler to achieve full balance, whereas others could require as many as four or five (or a combination of several treatment types).
