Lori Aliksanian, M.D., C.W.S.P., is a board-certified wound specialist physician with a passion for aesthetic medicine and nonsurgical anti-aging procedures.
After receiving a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Irvine, Dr. Aliksanian earned her MD at Ross University School of Medicine in Dominica, W.I. She completed an internship in general surgery at the University of Maryland in Baltimore, then returned to Los Angeles for a residency in general surgery at Harbor-UCLA and a fellowship in wound reconstructive surgery at Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center.
During her years in practice as a wound care specialist, Dr. Aliksanian became fascinated by skin integrity and the body’s own regenerative potential. She began seeing patients with cosmetic aging concerns who wanted her help in restoring their appearance. She found that she could combine her love for beauty and symmetry with the advances in cosmetic surgery to give her patients the results they desired. She has since used her knowledge and expertise in skin healing to further maximize her aesthetic treatments.
Dr. Aliksanian believes in providing revolutionary anti-aging treatments that repair skin and restore it to a younger-looking state without surgery. Her expertise in creating non-surgical facelifts with injectable therapies such as Botox®, Juvéderm®, Voluma®, Vollure®, Radiesse®, Belotero®, Sculptra®, and Restylane® made her an in-demand injector, providing customized rejuvenation for her patients. Her special focus is on preserving each patient’s natural expressions while enhancing their unique beauty using the most advanced techniques available.
As a boutique medical aesthetics service, MedBeautyLA aims to preserve the sense of discretion, the focused attention, and the warm, personable care that Dr. Aliksanian, known affectionately as “Dr. A,” brought to her private patients. Dr. Aliksanian is a native of Los Angeles and is excited to bring Downtown LA a full service medical spa.
Kaego Nwandei, MPAP, PA-C received her Master’s in Physician Assistant Practice from the University of Southern California, Keck School of Medicine. As a Physician Assistant she has been educated and trained in a variety of medical specialties and has work experience in Psychiatry, Aesthetic medicine and Orthopedic surgery.
Kaego’s motivation to pursue a specialty in aesthetic medicine was sparked after recognizing the overlap between mental health and physical appearance. She recalls an experience when she and her mother were first treated with botox and the positive, uplifting impact that it had on her mother’s mood and how she viewed herself. Keeping this experience in mind, Kaego has been inspired to pursue a more holistic approach to aesthetic medicine which addresses an individual’s physical appearance from the deepest to the most superficial layers targeting structure, texture, and complexion. She approaches each face as if it were her own, creating natural and refreshed results with the use of neuromodulators, dermal fillers, microneedling, and vitamin infusion therapy.
She is a certified advanced injector through Allergan and specializes in all gender facial contouring, balancing, and lip augmentation. Her individualized treatment plans address the unique concerns of each patient and are rooted in trust and medical integrity.
