Daxxify Cost: Understanding Why It’s *More* Per Unit, But *Less* Overall
Our practice has recently been getting a flurry of calls and inquiries about Daxxify — and for good reason. Daxxify just dropped as the incredibly buzz-worthy competitor to Botox. Clinical data shows that it kicks in faster than Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin. It also lasts twice as long as these other treatments. As with Botox, Daxxify treats frown lines, forehead wrinkles, bunny lines, and more. It can also be paired with dermal fillers for overall facial rejuvenation. This inevitably has led to the question: “What does Daxxify cost?” and also, “What’s more expensive: Daxxify or other similar treatments, like Dysport and Botox?”
Daxxify vs. Botox Cost Breakdown
In most practices, a Daxxify treatment costs more than a Botox cosmetic treatment. However, because Daxxify lasts twice as long as Botox and the other leading brands (Dysport, Xeomin, etc.), the price point is actually lower.
For example, if a typical Botox client spends $1600 on Botox injections annually (four, $400 treatments every three months), the typical Daxxify client will spend $1200 annually (two $600 treatments every six months). These prices are of course hypotheticals as pricing will vary by practice and location, but this gives you a general understanding as to why Daxxify is the more cost-effective option in the long run.
Botox Pricing vs. Daxxify Pricing
Specific price per unit is difficult to say, as this will depend on many factors. (Where in the country your provider is located, competitive local pricing, etc.). Typically, though, a single unit of Daxxify should cost less than a single unit of Botox, and you will receive double the units of Daxxify because the products are dosed differently. So, if you typically receive 25 units of Botox you should expect to receive 50 units of Daxxify. We always recommend that our clients come in for a full-face consult and analysis before receiving treatment of any kind in order to provide the most accurate price quotes.
