Daxxify vs. Botox: What’s The Difference, and Which Is Better?

Daaxify vs. Botox

If you’re a beauty junkie, you’ve likely heard of Daxxify, the latest Botox-like wrinkle treatment on the aesthetics’ scene. And you’re also probably thinking Botox vs. Daxxify: What’s the difference, and which is better? Hopefully today’s blog post will help!

The Daxxify Basics

Daxxify is manufactured by Revance, a pharmaceutical company best known for its line of RHA fillers that target fine lines and wrinkles. Revance has been developing Daxxify for the past four years, and it finally dropped this year.

How Long Does Daxxify Last?

All the most recent clinical data shows that Daxxify lasts for a full six months. Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin — aka the other top neurotherapies on the market — last an average of three months. This means fewer appointments over the course of a year. Clinical results also show that Daxxify improves skin tone and texture more than Botox (think: the glass skin effect). Additionally, Daxxify begins kicking in within 24 hours, with study participants seeing Day 7 Botox results after just the one day. Daxxify downtown la, daxxify los angeles.

Daxxify vs. Botox Cost (Hint: Daxxify is Less Expensive)

In most practices, Daxxify is priced at around 1.5 times more per unit than Botox. However, because Daxxify lasts twice as long as Botox and the other leading brands (Dysport, Xeomin, etc.), the price point is actually lower. So, for example, if a typical Botox client spends $1600 on Botox annually (four, $400 treatments every three months), the typical Daxxify client will spend $1200 annually (two $600 treatments every six months). These prices are of course hypotheticals as pricing will vary by practice and location, but this gives you a general understanding of why Daxxify is the more cost-effective option in the long run.

Other Benefits of Daxxify

In addition to improving skin texture and kicking in incredibly fast, Daxxify is a great option for clients who metabolize their Botox unusually fast. Clients who work out regularly or who have fast metabolisms often need Botox re-treatment every 2 months. These same clients could now schedule for every four months and reduce their time in office. The only potential downside to some clients is that Daxxify does not currently offer a comparable rewards program to Allé, the Botox-brand points system.

Daxxify Side Effects

Daxxify has no more and no fewer side effects than Botox or the other leading neurotherapies on the market. Much like with other treatments, the skill and experience of you provider will be the single most important factor in determining your outcome.
